เมื่อวันที่ 7 กรกฎาคม 2560 โรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม นำโดย นายสงกรานต์ บุญมี ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม พร้อมด้วยตัวแทนคณะกรรมการสถานศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน คณะครูและนักเรียน ได้จัดกิจกรรมแห่เทียนเข้าพรรษา โดยถวายเทียนจำนำพรรษาแก่วัดพระธาตุคือเวียง เพื่อให้พระสงฆ์ได้จุดบูชาพระรัตนตรัย ตลอดช่วงเข้าพรรษา และเพื่อเป็นการอนุรักษ์ไว้ซึ่งวัฒนธรรมประเพณีไทย (ปชส.รร./ภาพข่าว)
