เมื่อวันที่ 27 ธันวาคม 2556 โรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม จัดกิจกรรมวันคริสต์มาสและฉลองวันขึ้นปีใหม่ เพื่อให้นักเรียนเข้าใจวัฒนธรรมต่างประเทศ ภายในกิจกรรม มีทั้งการร้องเพลง และการแลกของขวัญ เพื่อให้นักเรียนได้แสดงความสามารถของตัวเอง มีความกล้าแสดงออก และมีการรับประทานอาหารร่วมกัน ระหว่าง ครูและนักเรียน เป็นการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีระหว่างครูและนักเรียน
