เมื่อวันที่ 23 มกราคม 2555 นายจรัล  แก้วเป็ง  ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม ได้มอบเกียรติบัตรหนึ่งแสนครูดีและครูดีเด่นให้กับคณะครูที่ได้รับเกียรติบัตร ณ ห้องประชุมดอกอ้อ โรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม ในครั้งนี้ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนได้ให้โอวาทแก่ครูและนักเรียนโรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม โดยให้ปฏิบัติตนตามแนวทางเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ให้เป็นคนดีของสังคม
