เมื่อวันที่ 31 กรกฎาคม 2555 นายจรัล แก้วเป็ง ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม ได้นำตัวแทนคณะครูและนักเรียนเข้าร่วมเดินขบวนแห่งเทียนพรรษา ร่วมกับองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลแม่อ้อ ทางโรงเรียนแม่อ้อวิทยาคม ได้เป็นตัวแทนของตำบลแม่อ้อการจัดแต่งริ้วขบวน ตกแต่งต้นเทียนและการแสดง ในการเดินขบวนในครั้งนี้ได้รับความสนใจอย่างมากจากประชาชนที่รอดูขบวนแห่งเทียนพรรษาของทางอำเภอพาน
